Riesling

Traditionell wird Riesling in Deutschland, Österreich, Südtirol und im Elsass angebaut.

Sehr wahrscheinlich wurde der weiße Riesling aus der am Rhein wachsenden Wildrebe selektioniert. Schon 1430 wird in einer Urkunde von einem Riesling Weingarten in Worms berichtet. Traditionell wird Riesling in Deutschland, Österreich, Südtirol und im Elsass angebaut. Die edle Weißweinrebsorte, häufig als "König der Weißweine" bezeichnet, ergibt in der Farbe grünliche bis gelbe Weine, die feinrassig, elegant und finessenreich sind. Seine Fruchtigkeit erinnert an Pfirsich, Aprikosen und Ananas, die prägnante Säure gibt dem Wein Lebendigkeit.
